As a primary school teacher in the North of England, Mark became a national pathfinder for ICT and the Internet in UK schools contributing to national and European digital learning content and Government eLearning and eSafety policy. His students won a number of national awards in computing, robotics and web design and Mark was personally recognised with several teaching awards.
Mark left teaching to become the Director of R&D at Digitalbrain, helping to establish a 2.2 million user online network for schools and the web platform for the London Grid For Learning as well as developing a wide range of digital content for schools and the post-16 education sector.
After designing a global Content Management System (CMS) for the GEMS groups of international schools, Mark became Executive Producer at the world’s largest publisher Pearson, designing and managing a range of very popular curriculum and assessment products across Mathematics and Creative Computing.
At global Ed-tech company Promethean, Mark led Global Product Strategy, Training and Education Consulting initiatives for ten years, working extensively in product development, education research and teacher and school leader professional development. He led the design of Promethean’s numerous award winning educational hardware and software products and established Promethean Planet as one of the largest teacher web platforms in the world.
Mark currently works as a STEM ambassador with teachers and schools and brings his passion and interest in the power of technology in education to his role at The Learning Partnership.
